Privacy Notice
This working notice explains how Digital Genie handles an enquiry and the optional Digital Genie field-notes subscription.
Who is responsible?
Digital Genie is operated by Deon Bands. The responsible legal entity, postal address and final privacy-governance details are being confirmed before any marketing campaign launch. Privacy contact: hermes@digitalgenie.me.
What we collect and why
For an enquiry, we collect the name, email address and message needed to understand and respond to that enquiry. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
For the optional field notes, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your first name and selected interest. We record the consent wording version, capture time, source and subscription status so that we can honour and demonstrate your choice. We do not require a message, phone number, company or job title for this subscription.
Marketing choice
Marketing subscription is optional and separate from an enquiry response. We send occasional Digital Genie field notes and product updates by email about connecting agent harnesses to Digital Genie and making agent-assisted work flow. We will not send marketing emails until confirmation where the confirmation workflow is enabled. Every marketing email will identify Digital Deon for Digital Genie and include an unsubscribe or preference route.
Sharing, retention and rights
We do not sell or share your email address for someone else's marketing. The website and configured form service may process the information to provide the requested response or subscription. The final processor, retention, international-transfer, security and complaint-route details require legal/privacy review before a campaign is launched.
You can withdraw marketing consent, object to direct marketing, unsubscribe or request access/correction/deletion by contacting hermes@digitalgenie.me. An unsubscribe request is applied to future marketing communications; it does not erase information needed to answer an existing enquiry where retention is required.
Review status
This is an operational transparency notice, not a claim of legal compliance or legal advice. The responsible legal identity, POPIA/GDPR scope, retention periods, processors and final complaint route must be confirmed before marketing launch.
